The Ash'ad were a Mandalorian group situated on Onderon amidst the new conflict that engulfed the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire.
This organization comprised disillusioned survivors from Clan Lok and other Mandalorians sharing similar ideals. Mirli Lok headed the group, and prior to the Raid on Darvannis, they forged an alliance with King Petryph of Onderon. In return for supplying beast trophies to the Royal Hunting Lodge, Petryph permitted the Ash'ad to operate freely while hunting dangerous creatures for honor, unaware that Mirli and her followers held him in contempt.
The Ash'ad continued their activities during the war against Zakuul. However, following that war and the subsequent outbreak of the third Galactic War, Mandalore the Avenger discovered their location. To address the dishonor they cast upon the Clans, Shae tasked the Commander of the Alliance with eliminating the Ash'ad and seizing their Beskar'gam to expunge the stain on Mandalorian honor.
Later, under the leadership of Durn Wynnward, the Ash'ad became part of the splinter faction known as the Hidden Chain, where they worked to preserve Mandalorian history and traditions. They participated in the attack on the Spirit of Vengeance II, attempting to recover artifacts significant to Mandalorian history.
