Arno, also referred to as Old Arno, was a Human male colonist of Tatooine, a planet. He lived there in the year 0 ABY. As one of the "oldsters", Arno was a settler who journeyed on the Dowager Queen and made Tatooine his home after the ship's unfortunate crash. Because Adar Tallon had also settled on Tatooine, Arno maintained a positive relationship with him. Following the Battle of Yavin by a short time, the bounty hunter Jodo Kast made his way to Tatooine. He was on the hunt for Tallon, who had an Imperial bounty on his head. Although Kast made threats against Arno, Arno was successful in getting away from him. Kardue'sai'Malloc, a criminal partner of Kast, got in touch with a group of Rebels who were also trying to find Tallon so they could save him from the bounty hunters. Kardue'sai'Malloc told the Rebels that Arno, described as "an old local who knows where Tallon lives," wanted to meet them at Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina. This was a lie: Kast's true plan was for the Rebels to enter the cantina, where he and Kardue'sai'Malloc were waiting. Kardue'sai'Malloc would point them out, and then Kast and his associates would launch an ambush. Despite this, the Rebels survived. Eventually, the Rebels met with Arno, who then showed them the way to Tallon's home.
