Aris Vauranelle was a Jedi Padawan of the Jedi Order, specifically a female Human, and served as the apprentice to Jedi Master Cin Tykan during the era of the Cold War.

Appearance

In the year 3643 BBY, Aris Vauranelle, together with her master, found themselves stationed on Taris, where they took a leading role in the restoration efforts of the devastated planet. Vauranelle and Tykan collaborated with Captain Nelex of the Republic Expeditionary Forces, focusing their efforts on eradicating the remaining rakghoul infections that persisted in the depths of the Undercity. While on an exploratory mission to the ancient ruins of the Jedi academy, Tykan fell victim to a strange ailment, a creation of the Sith Lord Vivicar. Subsequently, a young Jedi Consular journeyed to Taris in pursuit of Tykan, and Vauranelle directed the Consular towards the ruins, assuring them of her master's well-being. However, the situation proved otherwise, leading Vauranelle to express her deep concern for Master Tykan through a holotransmission, imploring the Consular to spare him if at all possible.

While the Consular was occupied elsewhere, Tykan launched an assault on the Republic base, utilizing secret rakghoul tunnels and contributing to the significant reduction of the Republic's forces. During the intense conflict, Tykan seized Vauranelle, taking her to one of the last operational super-reactors situated deep within the Undercity. There, Vauranelle listened intently as her master explained that the Republic bore the responsibility for Taris's unstable condition and that the Jedi Consular would inevitably betray them in favor of the Republic's agenda. When the Consular finally arrived at the reactor, Vauranelle stood ready to defend both her master and herself from the Consular's intervention. However, upon hearing reason, the easily influenced young Padawan relented from engaging in conflict. Enraged by this turn of events, Tykan turned his aggression towards the young girl, and would have undoubtedly killed her if the Jedi Consular hadn't intervened. Upon regaining his senses, Tykan pledged to return to Tython, seeking redemption and guidance from the Jedi High Council, with Vauranelle accompanying him.
