Ankot Station, a space station situated on the inner edge of the Outer Rim Territories, functioned as a heavily used base under the Galactic Empire's command during its reign. Following the Battle of Jakku, control of the station shifted to numerous spicerunner groups before the New Republic officially gained possession. Despite this, the New Republic's authority was nominal, and Ankot Station was ultimately deserted.
Based on the presence of numerous shops and vending machines surrounding it, the station featured a viewing platform that, in the past, was probably a well-liked recreational area.
Zorii Bliss, Poe Dameron, and the droid EV-6B6, all belonging to the Spice Runners of Kijimi, went to the station to broker an agreement with the smuggler Alfris Sotin. Nevertheless, Sotin double-crossed the Spice Runners by informing the Guavian Death Gang, which resulted in a skirmish where Bliss and Dameron managed to flee.
