Alpha Group was the name assigned to a unit from the Imperial garrison stationed on the planet of Vryssa. This unit consisted of All Terrain Scout Transports, All Terrain Armored Transports, speeder bikes, and squads of stormtroopers. A significant portion of this unit was annihilated by the bounty hunter Boba Fett during his assault on the Vryssa garrison. Imperial general Gaege Xarran deployed Alpha Group into Vryssa's forested areas with the objective of either capturing or eliminating Fett, but their mission was unsuccessful.
