Akeeli Somerce served as an aide to the Prex, specifically Chils Meplin. Meplin sent her on a secret mission: to assassinate both Fiolla and Naven Crel. This order came after Crel discovered Meplin had been divulging CSA confidential information to the Galactic Empire. Somerce successfully ambushed Fiolla and Crel, but Fiolla bought Crel enough time to grab Fiolla's blaster and eliminate Somerce. Before her death, though, Somerce managed to fatally wound Crel.
