7-Gee Lounge

The 7-Gee Lounge, situated within the Mos Espa Grand Arena complex, was a cantina located on the planet of Tatooine. It existed within the Legends continuity.

Description

Found inside the Mos Espa Grand Arena complex on Tatooine, the 7-Gee Lounge boasted a droid bartender, named EV-7G7. This droid served beverages like juri juice and bantha blasters, along with other drinks. To expedite service, EV-7G7 utilized a trench in the balcony for movement. A small stage was present in the cantina for performances. In 32 BBY, the entertainment included two musicians: a Wookiee and an Ortolan who played a nalargon.

History

While looking for the junk dealer Watto to place a wager on Anakin Skywalker for the Boonta Eve Podrace, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn made a visit to this cantina. Finding only Watto's flunky and his companion Kreg, Jinn requested two juri juices from EV-7G7, offering them to the two individuals in the hopes that Watto's flunky would assist him in locating Watto. This action ultimately proved fruitful as the Jedi was able to achieve his goal.

The podracer Teemto Pagalies also frequented the 7-Gee Lounge as a favored drinking establishment.

Behind the scenes

The 1999 video game Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace video game features the 7-Gee Lounge during the Mos Espa Arena level. However, the events portrayed in this level of the game are somewhat inconsistent with those depicted in the movie, as the bet against Sebulba occurred within the podrace hangar.

The official strategy guide refers to it as "7-G Lounge".

A portion of the music heard in the 7-Gee Lounge is also present in the Telos IV cantina in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords.
