Seth Cambriel, a noted playboy and social figure, participated in the competition piloting his own ship, the Cambus Gale, ultimately achieving a near-bottom ranking. Unbeknownst to those managing the regatta, Cambriel was actually a spy working for the Alliance to Restore the Republic, using the race as a front to aid a group of Rebel operatives in retrieving resources hidden within the planet's seas.
